However, the ease and efficiency brought by these AI tools come with a significant risk—diminished ethical decision-making among employees. This shift is particularly concerning because these digital nudges, while beneficial in steering user behavior, might promote a form of decision-making that lacks ethical reflection.

Companies like Microsoft have developed customizable tools that allow for greater managerial control but may inadvertently encourage a reliance on AI that overshadows individual judgment. This is concerning because it could lead to what the article refers to as “techno-chauvinistic hubris,” where the computational abilities of AI are favored over human cognition.
